Terminals and busbars: N/PE bars, comb busbars and DIN terminals
In a board, conductors are not joined “wherever it fits”. There are at least three different parts: N and PE bars, a phase comb busbar between MCBs, and DIN terminals for outgoing conductors. This guide helps you read cards and compile a materials list, not install connections yourself.
LBN 261-15 does not name a WAGO or Hager model. Point 55: installation under a certified construction specialist. Isolated ferrules are almost unpublished in our range (more sit unpublished in BoL), so we do not recommend ferrule SKUs here.
Count modules first in the board bill of materials. MCB In and curve: choosing an MCB. This page is only about how conductors meet on the rail.
| Job | Part | Do not mix with |
|---|---|---|
| Outgoing N | Hager KN06N | PE bar |
| Protective earth | Hager KN06E | N bar |
| Several MCB incomers in one row | Comb (fork or pin, 1P or 3P) | A comb from another series “because it says 63 A” |
| Outgoing conductor on the rail | DIN through terminal | A comb used as a terminal |
Hager KN06N — N bar (“Qc N 6 connect”). Hager KN06E — PE bar (“Qc Pe 6 connect”). They are not interchangeable. How many ways you need is counted from outgoing circuits, not “always 6”.
- Hager KDN363A — 3P, 63 A, fork, 10 mm², 12 modules.
- Hager KDN163A — 1P, fork, 10 mm², 12 modules.
- Eaton EVG-1PHAS/12MODUL — 1-phase, 10 mm², fork, 12 modules (12SU).
- ABB PS1/12 — 1-phase, 12 pins, 10 mm². That is not a drop-in for Hager KDN.
63 A on KDN363A is not “fits every 63 A incomer” if the MCB series does not match. Fork and pin are different mechanics. LEVA v1.1 recommends mixing brands in an enclosure only under the enclosure maker’s conditions — recommendation, not an LBN clause.
DIN terminals: WAGO 2002-1303 — 3-conductor, 2.5 mm² (check whether the colour is N or phase). WAGO 2010-1204 — 2-conductor, 10 mm², blue, Ex e / Ex i on the card; explosive atmospheres are a competent designer’s choice, not a household upsell. A 2.5 mm² terminal does not take 10 mm² “because it is WAGO”. Compact WAGO 221 lever connectors are not in this published sample.
Outdoor IP comes from the enclosure and gland — IP and glands — not from terminal colour. No live work. Check availability on the card. terminals and connectors.
