Protection by risk
Eyes — safety glasses
Safety glasses protect your eyes from flying debris and dust. If you grind, cut, drill overhead or sweep up, this is usually the first item to sort out.
Hands — gloves
Gloves protect against mechanical damage, but the type must match the job: general handling, grinding and chemicals are not the same thing. The helper points you to the matching category rather than one “universal” glove.
Head — helmet
A helmet is for the head on site, where there is a risk of falling objects or knocks.
Breathing — respirator
A respirator protects the airways where there is dust or fumes. It matters most for sanding, cutting masonry, painting and similar work. Check the marking on the product to see what it is actually rated for.
Hearing — ear protection
Hearing protection is for noisy tools — grinding, sawing, compressors. Hearing damage builds up quietly, so it is easy to underestimate.
A first-aid kit is a different category
A first-aid kit is not protection against a risk — it is practical readiness for when something has already happened. PALĪGS treats it as its own direction, so it does not get mixed up with glasses or gloves.
